Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials according to infection control protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with digital imaging systems
- Manage patient scheduling, charting, and electronic health records
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Order inventory and maintain dental supply levels
- Assist in sterilization and equipment maintenance
Qualifications
- Current California Dental Assistant certification (RDA or DAEF preferred)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and dental board regulations
- Excellent communication skills and chairside manner
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
