Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs with precision and patient comfort
- Manage patient charts and digital records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Coordinate treatment plans and educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Maintain inventory control and order dental supplies efficiently
- Ensure operatory cleanliness and infection control standards are exceeded
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or radiology license in Virginia
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital imaging and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification (current or obtainable within 30 days)
- Exceptional chairside manner and patient communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in fast-paced settings
- Commitment to continuing education in dental advancements
- Valid Virginia driver's license and reliable transportation
