Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures, including instrument handling and suction control
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain inventory of dental supplies
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and care
- Manage patient scheduling and ensure efficient clinic flow
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records and digital charting systems
- Uphold strict infection control standards and OSHA compliance
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (RDA or DA from accredited program)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a dental practice
- Certification in radiography and infection control
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to calm anxious patients
- Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix)
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Valid CPR certification
