Responsibilities
- Assist the lead dentist and hygienist during examinations and treatment procedures.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to strict safety protocols.
- Take and develop high-quality dental X-rays (radiographs) and digital images.
- Manage and update accurate patient medical records and charts.
- Guide patients through dental procedures, ensuring comfort and explaining post-care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinical environment.
- Perform basic front desk duties such as scheduling appointments and answering patient inquiries.
Qualifications
- Current RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) license in California.
- CPR and BLS certification (must be current).
- Experience with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of infection control and sterilization procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
- High school diploma or GED; completion of an accredited dental assisting program is a plus.
