Responsibilities
- Assist the lead dentist during examinations, procedures, and surgeries with precision and confidence.
- Prepare and sterilize all dental instruments and equipment to ensure strict infection control standards.
- Perform dental radiography (X-rays) and develop images for diagnostic review.
- Manage patient records, update charts, and prepare necessary paperwork for insurance claims.
- Provide exceptional patient education on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment options.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of treatment rooms and the front desk area.
- Assist in scheduling appointments and managing patient flow efficiently.
Qualifications
- Current Florida Dental Assistant license (RDA, CDA, or DA) or eligibility to obtain one.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification is mandatory.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Curve Dental).
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform fine motor tasks effectively.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
