Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation and patient monitoring
- Take and develop dental X-rays with proper radiation safety protocols
- Perform sterilization and infection control procedures per OSHA standards
- Manage patient records and digital charting systems
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal inventory levels
- Provide post-operative care instructions to patients
- Schedule appointments and handle front desk duties as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service focus
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform precise manual tasks
- Willingness to complete paid training program (4-8 weeks)
- Basic computer literacy and adaptability to new technology
- Valid California Dental Assistant X-ray certification (training provided)
- Background check and TB test clearance required
