Responsibilities
- Prepare Treatment Rooms: Ensure all dental instruments and materials are properly sterilized and organized prior to patient appointments.
- Patient Preparation: Greet patients warmly, update medical histories, and prepare them for examinations and procedures.
- Chair-Side Assistance: Assist dentists during procedures, including taking X-rays, applying sealants, and taking impressions.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to OSHA and CDC guidelines to maintain a safe and sterile clinical environment.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient records, schedule follow-up appointments, and process payments accurately.
- Patient Education: Provide clear post-care instructions and answer patient questions regarding oral hygiene and treatment plans.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Dental Assistant certification is a plus but not mandatory for training candidates.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow strict protocols and procedures with a high degree of precision.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and the clinical team.
