Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Manage patient intake and digital charting using Dentrix software
- Sterilize instruments and maintain OSHA-compliant operatory setups
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide under supervision
- Provide post-operative care instructions and patient education
- Coordinate treatment plans and insurance verifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid NJ dental radiography certification (or willingness to obtain during training)
- CPR certification (provided during training)
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
