Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical treatments
- Perform dental radiography (X-rays) and ensure proper sterilization of instruments
- Manage patient records using digital software and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and equipment for optimal clinical workflow
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care protocols
- Coordinate scheduling inventory management, and supply ordering
- Support front desk operations including check-in/out and insurance verification
Qualifications
- CDA (Certified Dental Assistant) or RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Current BLS/CPR certification and radiology license
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar dental management software
- Exceptional communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and infection control protocols
