Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate companionship and daily living assistance (bathing, dressing, grooming)
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with medication reminders
- Transport clients to appointments and social activities
- Monitor vital signs and report health changes to care coordinators
- Maintain detailed care notes and client records
- Perform light housekeeping tasks (laundry, meal prep, tidying)
- Support cognitive stimulation activities and emotional well-being
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience (home health or facility)
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid Ohio driver's license and reliable insured vehicle
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and assist with mobility transfers
- Clear background check and drug screening required
- Excellent communication and empathy skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
- Ohio Department of Health caregiver registration preferred
