Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding clients with dietary restrictions.
- Provide medication reminders and ensure timely administration of prescriptions.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and run essential errands as needed.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain a safe and clean living environment.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness.
- Monitor and report any changes in the client's physical or mental health status to the case manager.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are mandatory.
- CNA, PCA, or CMT certification is a strong plus but not always required.
- Previous experience in home health care, geriatrics, or hospitality is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical stamina to assist clients with mobility and daily tasks.
