Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Medication Reminders: Prompt clients to take prescribed medications on time and maintain accurate records of administration.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in conversation, games, and social activities to reduce isolation.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment, including meal preparation and light cleaning.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social outings as needed.
- Observation & Reporting: Monitor client health status and report any changes, injuries, or concerns to the nursing supervisor immediately.
- Documentation: Complete daily care logs and progress notes accurately and in a timely fashion.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Certification: Current CNA or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification is preferred but not strictly required for direct hire consideration.
- Experience: Previous experience in a caregiving, hospitality, or healthcare setting is highly valued.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal communication skills and a genuine, empathetic demeanor are essential.
- Licensure: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for traveling to client homes.
- Availability: Must be available for flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
