Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify dosage instructions
- Manage inventory control and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and resolve billing inquiries
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, DEA, and pharmacy board regulations
- Collaborate with pharmacists on clinical services and patient care
- Utilize pharmacy management software for record-keeping
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license
- 1+ years of retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Background check and drug screening required
