Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity using standardized triage protocols (ESI, CTAS)
- Collaborate with physicians to prioritize patient flow in high-volume ED
- Document clinical findings accurately in Epic EMR system
- Provide emergency medical interventions within scope of practice
- Communicate critical updates to care teams and patient families
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and CMS regulations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Colorado (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years ED/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- BSN preferred (ADN candidates with 5+ years ED experience considered)
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (Epic preferred)
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
