Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments to determine medical acuity and prioritize care.
- Utilize electronic health records (EHR) to document triage notes, vitals, and patient history accurately and promptly.
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to develop appropriate treatment plans and referrals.
- Provide clear, empathetic health education and instruction to patients and families.
- Manage high-volume patient calls and walk-ins while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor.
- Adhere to all hospital protocols, regulatory standards, and safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of Minnesota.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in clinical triage or emergency nursing.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to navigate EMR systems efficiently.
