Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and medical histories to determine care priority and urgency
- Coordinate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Document patient interactions and clinical information accurately in EHR systems
- Provide telehealth and in-person triage services to diverse patient populations
- Educate patients and families on treatment protocols and follow-up care
- Monitor patient flow and department resource allocation during peak hours
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Pennsylvania with minimum 3 years clinical experience
- BLS certification; ACLS preferred
- Proven expertise in emergency or urgent care triage methodologies
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong proficiency with Epic or similar EHR platforms
- Excellent communication skills with ability to de-escalate stressful situations
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required, MSN preferred
