Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize cases based on medical urgency using established triage protocols
- Provide accurate clinical guidance to patients via phone, video, and in-person consultations
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care pathways
- Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) with precise documentation
- Educate patients on appropriate care settings and home management strategies
- Monitor patient flow and adjust resource allocation during peak hours
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California with minimum 2 years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Experience with telehealth triage platforms
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
