Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and record vital signs and patient observations
- Support nurses with medical procedures and documentation
- Maintain clean, sanitized patient environments
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding when needed
- Report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Current Michigan CNA certification (or enrollment in state-approved training)
- Basic knowledge of patient care protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate attitude and patience with elderly patients
- Must pass background check and health screening
- Valid Michigan driver's license (preferred for transport duties)
