Responsibilities
- Provide daily assistance with patient hygiene, bathing, and dressing
- Monitor vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and patient positioning
- Document patient observations accurately in medical records
- Support meal preparation and feeding assistance
- Maintain clean and sanitized patient environments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Current New York State CNA certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (training provided)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate demeanor and patience with elderly patients
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
