Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to patients including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor and document vital signs, patient conditions, and care activities
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure patient safety
- Support nurses with clinical tasks under supervision (e.g., wound care, specimen collection)
- Maintain clean, organized patient environments and medical equipment
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current California CNA certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred (training available)
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong interpersonal skills and empathy for elderly patients
- Attention to detail and ability to follow care protocols precisely
- Pass background check and drug screening
