Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Take and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse)
- Support mobility through transfers and ambulation with proper techniques
- Provide nutritional support and meal assistance to residents
- Document patient care observations accurately in medical records
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to nursing staff
- Maintain clean, safe patient environments following infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Active Texas CNA certification required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred (training available)
- Compassionate care mindset with strong communication skills
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliable transportation to cover multiple Austin locations
- No prior experience necessary – training provided!
