Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Monitor Health Status: Observe and report any changes in a patient's condition, mood, or behavior to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Mobility Assistance: Safely transfer and move patients using proper body mechanics and assistive equipment as needed.
- Cleanliness & Hygiene: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients, including changing linens and assisting with toileting needs.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members regarding care plans and updates.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required. CNA Certification (CNA1) or willingness to obtain certification through our training program is a plus.
- Experience: No prior healthcare experience required; we welcome enthusiastic beginners.
- Licensure: Current Pennsylvania State CNA license (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks.
- Soft Skills: Strong empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills.
- Legal: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
