Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care, including bathing, grooming, dressing assistance, and toileting.
- Monitor vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Document daily care activities, patient intake, and changes in condition accurately in electronic health records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and therapeutic environment for patients to ensure infection control standards are met.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to address concerns and provide emotional support.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A strong desire to enter the healthcare field with a genuine passion for helping others.
- Willingness to undergo CNA certification training (we support candidates who are willing to learn).
- Ability to lift and move patients up to 50 lbs safely and effectively.
- Basic computer literacy for entering patient data and documentation.
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation (preferred for home health assignments).
