Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature as directed by the nurse.
- Mobility Support: Help clients transfer in and out of beds, wheelchairs, and vehicles safely using proper body mechanics.
- Meal Assistance: Prepare nutritious meals and assist clients with eating, ensuring dietary restrictions are met.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between the client, family members, and the nursing staff, reporting changes in patient status immediately.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for the client.
- Documentation: Accurately complete and maintain patient care records and logs.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required. CNA Certification (or active enrollment in a state-approved CNA program) is preferred.
- Licensure: Valid state CNA license required (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Experience: No prior professional experience required; we value attitude and aptitude over experience.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Basic computer proficiency for documentation.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods. Must be able to assist with lifting patients (up to 250 lbs with assistance).
