Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing staff and charge nurse promptly.
- Assist with basic medical procedures and specimen collection under supervision.
- Participate in patient care planning and shift handovers.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current enrollment or completion of a state-approved CNA training program (or willingness to obtain certification).
- Basic life support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain within 3 months of hire.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical ability to lift, stand, and move for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
