Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring them from beds to wheelchairs or walking aids.
- Respond to patient calls and alerts promptly to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Assist in feeding patients and maintaining proper nutrition and hydration.
- Document patient care activities and any changes in condition accurately in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with the nursing staff to implement individualized care plans.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- CNA Certification required or willingness to obtain certification within 3 months of hire.
- Strong compassion and empathy for patients of all ages and backgrounds.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn electronic medical record systems.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation (preferred).
