Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Move patients safely using proper body mechanics and transfer equipment.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to registered nurses and physicians promptly.
- Prepare and serve meals while ensuring dietary restrictions are met.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or completion of an accredited CNA program preferred.
- Current state nursing assistant license required.
- Ability to lift and move patients weighing up to 200 lbs.
- Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for patient care.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic health record documentation.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods.
