Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Ensure patients are clean, comfortable, and in a safe environment at all times.
- Communication: Effectively communicate changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse.
- Assistance with Mobility: Help patients move safely between beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers using proper lifting techniques.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient care records and documentation.
- Meal Assistance: Serve meals and assist patients with eating as needed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Nebraska.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience as a CNA preferred, but we welcome enthusiastic entry-level candidates willing to learn.
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift patients, and perform physical tasks required in patient care.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Compassion: Genuine empathy and a desire to improve the quality of life for our residents and patients.
