Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized environment for patients and visitors in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the Charge Nurse or Provider.
- Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Qualifications
- Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification required (or eligibility to obtain one).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift patients (up to 50 lbs), and perform manual tasks.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Compassionate, patient-centered attitude with a high degree of empathy.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
