Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Serve meals and assist patients with eating, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
- Turn and reposition bedridden patients to prevent pressure sores and improve circulation.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients to enhance their quality of life.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid identification (Social Security Card, Driver's License, or Passport).
- Basic computer literacy skills for documentation purposes.
- Physical stamina to lift, bend, and assist patients of varying sizes.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
