Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assist with Mobility: Help patients transfer in and out of bed or wheelchairs, utilizing proper body mechanics and safety equipment.
- Document Care: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care plans in accordance with facility policies.
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between residents, families, and the nursing staff to ensure all needs are met.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to call lights and emergency situations following established safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Oregon CNA license required.
- Experience: No prior experience required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
- Soft Skills: Compassionate nature, patience, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and assist with mobility as needed.
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred but not required at time of application.
