Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to patients including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations accurately
- Assist with mobility transfers and maintain patient safety protocols
- Support nurses with medical equipment preparation and patient positioning
- Maintain clean and sanitized patient environments per OSHA standards
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding patient needs
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance clinical skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior healthcare experience necessary
- Valid Texas CNA certification or willingness to obtain during training
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (provided if not current)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication skills and empathy for elderly patients
- Reliable transportation and ability to work flexible shifts
- Pass background check and drug screening
