Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care assistance to patients including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration)
- Assist with mobility transfers and positioning patients safely
- Support daily living activities and maintain patient hygiene standards
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records
- Communicate patient needs and observations to nursing staff promptly
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Must obtain NM State CNA certification within 90 days of hire
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong interpersonal skills and empathy for elderly/disabled patients
- Basic computer literacy for documentation systems
- Pass criminal background check and drug screening
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if required for travel)
