Responsibilities
- Provide daily personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Measure and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse)
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper techniques
- Support meal services and ensure nutritional needs are met
- Document patient observations and care activities accurately
- Collaborate with nursing staff to maintain patient safety and comfort
- Participate in ongoing training and skill development workshops
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid New York State CNA certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- No prior healthcare experience necessary - we train motivated beginners
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (training provided)
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication skills and compassionate nature
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends
