Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations accurately
- Support meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met
- Maintain clean, safe environments following infection control protocols
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
- Collaborate with nursing staff on care plans and resident updates
- Respond promptly to resident calls and emergency situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current Oregon CNA certification or willingness to obtain (training provided)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate approach with commitment to elderly care
- Must pass background check and pre-employment health screening
