Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during challenging times.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding patients who require assistance.
- Transport patients to and from activities, medical appointments, or therapy sessions using appropriate mobility equipment.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately in electronic medical records.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Must be a compassionate, patient-oriented individual with a strong desire to help others.
- Willingness to obtain and maintain a valid CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license.
- Physical stamina to lift, move, and assist patients standing for extended periods.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
