Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument passing, suction, and patient comfort measures
- Perform dental radiography (X-rays) and develop diagnostic images
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Manage patient flow and ensure efficient clinical operations
- Take accurate patient medical histories and vital signs
- Apply dental sealants, fluoride treatments, and cavity-preventive measures
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and order necessary materials
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- No prior dental experience necessary - we provide paid training!
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform precise manual tasks
- Strong attention to detail and infection control awareness
- Basic computer literacy for patient record management
- Must pass background check and drug screening
