Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections with precision and patient comfort
- Process and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis following strict protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records and electronic documentation systems
- Ensure all equipment is sterilized and calibrated according to safety standards
- Provide exceptional patient care during high-volume collection procedures
- Collaborate with medical staff to optimize workflow efficiency
- Adhere strictly to HIPAA compliance and infection control guidelines
Qualifications
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT or Phlebotomy I)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- Excellent venipuncture skills with minimal need for re-sticks
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and CLIA regulations
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced medical environments
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for diverse patient populations
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25 lbs
