Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation and patient positioning
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) following safety protocols
- Perform sterilization and maintenance of dental instruments and equipment
- Manage patient records and schedule appointments using digital systems
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal infection control standards
- Provide chairside assistance during exams and restorative procedures
- Deliver post-procedure instructions to patients
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior dental experience necessary - training provided!
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Basic computer literacy for record-keeping systems
- Valid Louisiana state driver's license and reliable transportation
