Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation and patient positioning
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) following safety protocols
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain inventory
- Manage patient scheduling and digital chart documentation
- Provide post-operative care instructions and patient education
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations
- Support front desk operations including insurance verification and billing
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior dental experience necessary - training provided
- CPR certification (will be provided if not currently certified)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle dental instruments
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer proficiency with willingness to learn dental software
- Must pass background check and drug screening
