Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments via phone and in-person to determine urgency and prioritize care
- Accurately document patient information and symptoms in electronic health records
- Collaborate with physicians to coordinate patient care pathways and referrals
- Provide clear medical guidance to patients while maintaining compliance with healthcare protocols
- Manage high-volume patient inquiries with empathy and clinical precision
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for triage processes
- Stay current with medical protocols and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California
- Minimum 2 years of emergency/urgent care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Strong attention to detail and clinical judgment
- Spanish bilingual preferred
