Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures
- Accurately measure vital signs and document patient histories
- Perform basic laboratory tests including ECGs and phlebotomy
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with HIPAA compliance
- Administer injections and medications under provider supervision
- Schedule appointments and handle front desk administrative duties
- Educate patients on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduation from accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- CPR/BLS certification (training provided if needed)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Proficiency with EHR systems (training available)
- Background check and drug screen required
