Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and assist providers during medical procedures
- Perform basic clinical tasks including EKGs, phlebotomy, and wound care
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and maintain accurate patient documentation
- Schedule appointments, handle insurance verification, and process billing forms
- Stock exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain inventory of medical supplies
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medication instructions
- Assist with front desk operations including check-in/check-out procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; CMA or RMA certification preferred
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Proficiency with EHR systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Current CPR/BLS certification (training provided if needed)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
