Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and patient examinations
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, instruments, and equipment
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic lab tests
- Manage patient electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Schedule appointments and handle patient communications
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- Certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) within 6 months of hire
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency with EHR systems
