Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and patient examinations
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring sterile environments
- Perform basic patient vital signs and EKG recordings
- Manage patient scheduling and electronic health records (EHR)
- Administer injections and collect specimens under supervision
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications
- Coordinate with insurance providers and handle billing documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (CMA/MA certification preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification required (training provided if needed)
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic/NextGen experience a plus)
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
- Pass background check and drug screening
