Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, including vital sign measurement and specimen collection
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring proper sterilization of equipment
- Manage patient records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Schedule appointments and handle patient communications professionally
- Administer injections and medications under physician supervision
- Process insurance claims and handle basic billing procedures
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of accredited Medical Assistant program preferred (not required)
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn EHR systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate approach to patient care
- Willingness to obtain CPR certification within 30 days
