Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, equipment, and medical supplies
- Perform vital sign measurements, EKGs, and basic laboratory tests
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and patient documentation
- Schedule appointments and handle patient communications
- Administer injections and medications under provider supervision
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and clinic protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduation from accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- Certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse patients
- Proficiency with EHR systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Valid CPR certification or willingness to obtain
