Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, medical equipment, and supplies
- Perform basic clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy
- Manage patient records using electronic health record systems
- Schedule appointments and handle patient correspondence
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduation from accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Basic computer proficiency with EHR systems
