Our clinic specializes in primary care and urgent services, serving diverse populations across Southeast Michigan. As a key member of our clinical staff, you'll gain hands-on experience in patient care coordination, clinical procedures, and electronic health records management.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Administer injections, perform EKGs, and collect specimens for lab testing
- Maintain accurate patient records using EMR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Schedule appointments and manage patient communication
- Ensure exam rooms are stocked and sanitized according to OSHA standards
- Assist with insurance verification and billing documentation
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Proficiency with electronic health records and office software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
