Responsibilities
- Assist providers with clinical procedures including vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain sterile environments per OSHA guidelines
- Manage patient flow and coordinate with clinical staff for seamless care delivery
- Accurately document patient encounters in electronic health records (EHR)
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Perform point-of-care testing and basic lab specimen processing
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build patient rapport
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic or experience preferred)
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
